Ruby & King Neptune

I picked up Ruby from school this afternoon, she was a full on little chatter box as soon as she came out of the classroom door, clutching a cookie a lollipop and a roll of sweets, "three people had Birthdays today Nanna and they brought these for us to take home" haha they didn't last that long. 
Usually we go to our place but today I was taking her home as Deklan had not been in school today, he was not well this morning, but Ruby had another idea before going 'straight' home, "lets go see King Neptune Nanna", its was a bit cold and windy, "I have a jacket in my bag Nanna" well thats ok then, so off we go.
King Neptune sits in an abandoned park, fenced off now to the public but we know where there is a hole in the fence so we crawl through and wind our way up the steps, the weeds are have almost taken over them now, we used to take our 3 children here in the 80's, it was called Sun City then it was an amusement park that had a pool amongst other things with 3 or 4 dolphin swimming around, the dolphins would fly through hoops with swimmers and divers in the pool, there were sea-lions too, statues of sea-lions and sea-lion pups were still scattered round the place, now they sit with parts missing where the weather has taken its toll, or someone has chiselled bits off, Ruby new all about this park her daddy had told her all about it, goodness Ruby brought up some long ago memories today, Ruby is so like her Daddy when he was 5 years old.
My extra is Ruby sitting on Neptune hand just as her daddy had done all those years ago. 
Ruby & Deklan attend Two Rocks Primary school, King Neptune is their school emblem, who would have thought?
