Experimentation and Kindness

Very windy overnight, so much so, I resorted to using my earplugs to block out the noise of the gusts!  An early start to drive to Bristol for a meeting, luckily the school holidays meant the traffic was lighter than usual and I got there and back in good time.  This is one of the leaves of my aubergine plants I am growing on my patio.  They are an 'experiment' and I am not sure how successful it will be, but the plants have flowers so that is a good start to getting fruits!  The leaves are fascinating - large with deep purple (aubgerine!) coloured veins.  Today I read an interesting report by the Carneigie Trust on the place of kindness in building stronger communities.  Thought provoking especially its finding that modern definitions of professionalism and good leadership appear to be crowding out everyday kindness and intuitive human interactions.
