Pepper star

I was chopping a pepper for the curry and liked the shape I found.

Earlier, George had discovered only bits of dust at the bottom of a Coco Pops box. "Ew, just chowder," he said.

Thinking it was a made-up word from chocolate and powder, I laughed.

There was a pause. "Dad, do you know what chowder actually is?" he asked.

When I told him I did, he replied, "I don't."
