Fame at Last!

My blip is of a new-ish bookshop come coffee & cake shop called the Birnam Reader, where friend L and I went this afternoon to put the world to rights.

While we were chatting, the owner came up to us and asked if we would mind if she put a photo she'd just taken on their Facebook page and showed us this picture.  We realised that nobody else would recognise us, so we happily agreed.  L is sitting with her back to the window and I am opposite, so you can only see the back of my head, but we know it is us.  Such is fame:-)

I can report that both coffee and cakes were delectable and for an extra £1 we got a book as well, so we'll definitely be back!  The walk we'd planned had to be put on hold, as it was raining heavily by the time we left the shop so we just headed for home.

This evening I have just been for my first private therapy treatment for the arthritis pain in my hips/back, as I can't wait indefinitely for the NHS to ring me with a Physio appointment.  The therapist worked the muscles hard and warned me it would be sore tomorrow, but should start to ease after that.  I've already booked a second appointment to keep up the momentum.  Wish me luck:-)
