Congratulations and celebrations

I've been over to Knaresborough twice today, first for lunch with my friend K who lives in the town - we met up with a couple of great friends from Bristol and Wrexham, had a lovely chatty lunch in So then went for a walk around the castle. K was an excellent tour guide - seriously, she could charge - and we now know what a sally port is (though to be fair I did already know - thank you David Eddings).

Our friends had travelled up for the main event tonight - a celebration of K's wedding, which had taken place in secret in August (I have chastised her for not telling!). Some of our other friends travelled from various places in Yorkshire and Lancashire, and it was a lovely opportunity for us to catch up. We don't do it often enough - everyone has busy lives, but thanks to technology we can keep in touch in between times.

So K, thank you for giving us the chance to get together. You are one of the warmest, smartest, most caring people I know, and I wish only love, happiness and a decent amount of financial success to you and L (and your family).
