Smugglers Haven
Back Blip 1st August.
Sunny with some cloud cover, rain in the afternoon.
This is one of the many narrow streets in Robin Hoods Bay. A very steep walk down, but we'll worth it. A very unspoiled village except for the odd tourist shops and cafes.
An ideal place because of it's limited access for smuggling in days gone by. It is said that all the houses from the beach were joined by tunnels so that the contraband could be moved without the Excise Men even seeing it.
We will certainly go again next year and explore further.
