JAZZY AFTERNOON...
.... well a BIG BIG learning curve for this little blipper today!
One of our local GP's has been playing jazz as a long time hobby, and for some time now his Jazz band has played at different gigs around Penrith etc.
He asked me awhile back if I could take a few pics for them at their gig today at the local RSL Club. Well, I did warn him, never in real terms tried this sort of photography!
Anyway, always up for a challenge with his assurance that was fine by him, so lets go.
Yep, a real challenge and of course not having the "ideal" lens for such work knew my 85mm 1.8 and 17-50mm 2.8 should give me half a chance.
So here we have the Mulgoa Road Jazz Band... and let me tell you they are pretty darn enjoyable to listen to, and the roll up of people a testament to their talents. Let's just hope I can resurrect a reasonable batch of pics for them from the 360 odd taken.
If interested in some jazz check them out here... in an earlier gig.
Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE
