Oh what a night!

The annual Kobe firework display is always an eye catching event. This year, Kobe port is celebrating its 150th anniversary so the display was advertised as something special. It didn't disappoint!

One hour of the most wonderful fireworks were set off from the bay - a grand total of 15,000 of them to celebrate the anniversary!

We avoided the heat by watching from the terrace of a local restaurant where we enjoyed great food and drinks, air conditioning and a reasonable view... shame about that tower block!
