Bee on Echinacea Plant
I have been experimenting with bounce flash, which I have never used before out side. It really helps with bright sunlight to fill in the shadows.
This is quite tricky though. In the end I used a tripod with the flash mounted on top of camera, with the head of the flash pointed at 45 Degrees to the subject, then held a piece of white card at an angle to the flash and flower, it was tricky because the bees keep moving so you are trying to keep it in focus and the card in the right position. I am very pleased with the results and will try again with maybe a small reflector next time.
