Kookaburra

The four of us went over to Riverside this morning for a leisurely walk along the banks of the Ross River. What a gorgeous spot, the river to one side, beautiful tree and houses to the other. Wonderful reflections, some kidlets playing in the water, lots of lily pads, weirs, white herons & others (too far away)....many blip available and taken. We then went into the open air restaurant for a schooner followed by a meal. Delightful place, open aired to the view overlooking one of the weirs .... we go there every year.

A happy Rainie, blips in the bag. And then, in flew this fellow on to a tree nearby. I then started the stalking procedure, clicking too many. Then blow me down, he came down and sat on the veranda rail.....more quiet stalking until I really was about a metre away.
Blip heaven.

Loading blip very early today....family coming over shortly. Salad made this morning. It's got just about everything in it...
...lettuce
...cucumber
...radishes
...peppers
...avocados
...walnuts
...tomatoes
...feta
...strawberries
...snow peas
...red onion
...served with lasagne and kumura & potato bake.

Yummy!!
