Deer, deer

While we were walking our guest dog Tara today, these two took off from just beside the path.

We found that a) Tara hasn't lost her chasing instincts, but luckily b) she's not nearly as fast as she must have been in her prime (phew!) and c) she's pretty obedient, and responds to recall even when giving chase (double phew!!).

They stopped half way up the bank to look back at us curiously, presumably doing the deer equivalent of sticking out their tongues at the dog...
