Swimming day

Day 6 of our holiday and we got up a little early to go to the Monaco pool for the day. My son accompanied me to the market first and to the bakers and asked for his own pain aux chocolat which was very brave!

The Monaco pool is a salt water Olympic diving pool and it is absolutely beautiful. We hired two beds with a parasol which we really needed as it was an extremely hot day! The children went on the water slide and on the low diving board!

We ate lunch at the pool too - the children had chips! When they were little I remember asking them what the best thing about going to pool was and my son replied "the chips"! Today they both said how nice the chips were so maybe it's true! Although being older now and good swimmers they definitely enjoyed swimming and diving and sliding at least as much!!!

This evening we went to the football and Monaco won 3-2 so it was quite an eventful match. We are certainly not a huge football family but it was a novelty for us!

A late night walk home gave another photo opportunity!
