The Lopper and the Lopped
Went back up late afternoon for a bit more work; we'll go to Eucharist tomorrow instead. You can see the little knobbles where I lopped off the suckers, the difficulty is that they are very stiff and get totally tangled up with each other, and you can't see what you're doing because the leaves are so dense. You can also see some of the beautiful schist that litters the land, and our rather makeshift fence.
I didn't get up there this morning; think I almost got heat stroke yesterday, determined to finish just one more tree... felt quite yuk the rest of the day. So instead, went to the market for week's vegetables, fruit, cheese and chorizo. And met the borehole man, to receive a document to pay in at Bank - he seems to think it means they're going to give us permission... so, so hoping so!
Finished off with a picnic outside, under the almost full moon - first time we've been up there in the dark - it was magical.
