Wouldn't it be Nice

Thought I'd use a Beachboys song title for my blip today...

A very relaxed start to the day! Bright sunshine too and NO RAIN. Woo hoo. Decided to have a little out to Runnymede. It's not too far, and we happened to drive through it last year by chance on one of our trips back from Bath.

Found the site today no problem at all, and a cream tea in the Magna Carta Tea Room was first on the itinerary. I've been here three weeks and the cream tea at Mayfield didn't really count; the scone being laced with lavender.

G found a leaflet about a paddle boat we saw on the way in, which was doing its next trip on the hour. We had 10 minutes, so I quickly bought tickets online, and off we ran to catch the boat. Got on no problem. It was just starting to drizzle. Well, you wouldn't believe the shower we had. G  has managed to capture it in the first extra which is of the memorial that was erected to mark the signing of Magna Carta at John F Kennedy's prompting.

The second extra is of the Lucy Fisher, the boat we had the ride on. It has been in two movies! (It stopped raining part way through, so it was nice to get some shots in the sun). My blip is of one of the gardens that backs on to the river. It's super that so many people have a sit down area to watch life on the river.
