Diamond Couple

This is my aunt and uncle who today celebrate their Diamond Wedding Anniversary, an amazing sixty years of marriage. They are quite remarkable, both in their eighties - my uncle will shortly be celebrating his ninetieth birthday - they live independently, bake all their own bread and cakes, grow their own vegetables, make jam, marmalade and chutneys, wouldn't dream of heating up ready-made meals and, on top of all that, organised tonight's dinner party for twenty friends and family, the youngest who is just sweet sixteen.
