Dunstanburgh Walk

Only 9 of us turned up at Newton-by-the-Sea for our group walk. We only had one shower though the sky was overcast. It gave a lovely light over the sea as we headed towards Dunstanburgh Castle, and on to Craster, then back, just 7 miles but so nice to be by the sea. Children were out in their coats - you'd think it was a winter walk from the blip, of Mr C, Colin, Ian and Gerry in their fleeces.

Daughter and family picked up the camper van while we were away. They are off to Edinburgh for a couple of days at the festival. She's been on the phone to tell us the gas is not working - we should have checked it after it came back from its service - they said they'd fixed a leak. They have one very slow electric ring to cook on.

I'm making the pudding for the pooled supper. Blackcurrant cheesecake. Better get a move on.
