Common Lizard

A walk in my favourite woods today, mainly to look for fungi and butterflies. Found some of each, but also this very young lizard in a pile of small branches. He or she was about 5cm long. The only problem was he would not sit still and bask in the sun, like lizards are supposed to. Also if I moved he disappeared for a few minutes. This image was the only sharp one, out of about six or seven that I managed to take. Not the best image in the world of a lizard, but the challenge was good fun.
