A Flock of Birds
Dear friend B treated M and I to Sunday lunch out today, (thank you B.) so in order to walk off some of the calories we visited the Norfolk Wildlife Trust at Cley Marshes, which is just down the road from our house.
We went late afternoon and there were very few people in the hides. M did a species count afterwards and apparently we saw 26 different birds...and some cows, which is what sent the Lapwings and Black-Tailed Godwits to fly up as seen above. I have to say that Lapwings are one of my favourite birds, really pretty and a wonderful call. What a fab way to spend Sunday afternoon!
