Independent

Now that Jake has his own car he is more independent. Today he brought his brother George with him to spend the day with us while their parents are away. They wanted a "Granny Roast" so I obliged with shoulder of lamb which soon disappeared with their huge appetites. No sooner than the washing up was finished than we started playing games, Skip Bo, then a complicated version of dominoes which involves mental arithmetic and tactics, and then Ten Thousand. We took it in turns to win so it was all very satisfactory.
I have enjoyed my day so much with these great lads. I wish they lived nearer.
