Greyhound

Mrs F and I dropped the caravan off for its service before doing a bit of shopping.  On the way home we stopped for a quick visit to the airport.  This was one of a number of aircraft coming and going in just a few minutes.  This is a US Navy Grumman C2A Greyhound from the USS George HW Bush, one of the Nimitz class aircraft carriers which is involved in an exercise off the coast of Scotland this week.

If you look close at the area below the tail you can see the hook used to trap the plane when landing on the aircraft carrier.
