Bank

After the light show last night I lingered in the hope that there would be a firework display at the end of the late Tattoo performance. Last year it was usually around 00:15.

It turned out that either the display is earlier or the winds - which were lively and cool - prevented the display.

No matter: I got this view of the Bank of Scotland building on the Mound - where my late father used to work at one point - with the moon.

Earlier in the evening people leaving St Andrew's Square - just as I was entering - were all commenting on the striking moon lighting up the clouds with the Scott Monument floodlit. Phones and cameras were taken up aplenty.
