Four seasons reprise

I love it when a picture almost paints itself. I start with an idea - in this case one I've worked on before - and along the way, the painting develops in ways I hadn't initially envisaged.

Yesterday, green shoots started to appear in this painting. The concept started as an attempt to capture the effects of time in colour using a flower shape as a base. I've painted this idea twice before before, each time a little differently. I've now been asked for another one so I've made a start.

Can't wait to see where this one takes me.
