Heatwave 'Lucifer' is not causing quite as much havoc here as it is in other parts of Europe though the weather was predicted to be 'hazy'. I knew that I would not be leaving the house all day for the first Sunday in three weeks and so decided to time my photographs to coincide with the comings and goings from the local port. If I post each shot whole, the ships arriving and leaving are too tiny to see properly, but if I zoom in, the images become very grainy. I suppose I should have considered this problem before embarking on the challenge and set up a tripod, but I didn't and it's too late now. It is also far too dark to record the very last arrival and departure of the day; Flying Cat 6 scheduled in from Volos at 21:15 and scheduled out to Alonnisos at 21:20

I finished processing the peppers and we now have another 10 jars to add to the massive collection still remaining from last year.
During the last two weeks we have been rather spoiled by having access to the cottage pool and renewed lack-of-access coinciding with the heatwave is making the transition harder to cope with. We were however given a small inflatable pool very recently and so it is that Spousie is spending a very hot Sunday afternoon hacking out a level platform for it to sit on. Brave chap.
