Rebuilding

Lots of people away on holiday, so not many regulars at St Luke's today. The congregation was increased by quite a large group who had come to hear banns read. In my experience it's quite unusual for family other than the bride and groom to do this. I thought it was rather lovely.

Mum and I have found a great source of inexpensive but pretty hair slides and scrunchies, and we came home after lunch with fourteen for Mum and seven for me! We're both running out of room in our storage bags and baskets for them!

I did a load of chopping back in the garden during the afternoon. It's a jungle out there (well, not quite while I'm keeping on top of it). Bitten on the bum by some insects who didn't like me destroying their homes, and the blackbird family hung around looking anxious in case I took away all their hiding places, which I didn't. I'd forgotten about the gorgeous hibiscus in the corner, so I'm glad my hard work hacking back was paid off by exposing these beautiful flowers.
