Harbour Repairs

The old harbour wall on the Forth just outside the house was swept away in the high winds and tides of winter 2015/16. Some exploration work was done last autumn and some old pipes relocated earlier this year but the repair work proper is about to begin. It's a complex job, some of which will have to be done from the river (see extra) but from what the guys on site were saying this morning it's going to be shored up rather than rebuilt. I'm not a structural engineer so what do I know but this seems like a false economy to me. The tides and currents really rip through this part of Stirling and as you can see they've laid waste to the old wall. Anyway, the work will provide me with blips for a few weeks.
