Peschiera and Verona

Well, what a day!
We travelled to Peschiera to meet some good friends who are also here on holiday. It was lovely to spend time on the lakeside beach with them, swimming, eating and watching the kids having fun together. Even the thunderstorm and rain didn't spoil our day!
In the late afternoon we drove to Verona to walk round the historic city and see the sights.
In the evening we met up with our friends again at a pizzeria and enjoyed a fabulous evening of good food and great company.
We arrived back at our campsite after midnight to find that the storm had struck here too and out tent porch had been flooded while we were out.  Luckily some very kind Dutch families had zipped up our tent and tried to save our things from getting too wet. So kind.
