The Old Forge (Sunday 6th August 2017)

Not much photography time yesterday, but I replenished the feeders with sunflower hearts for the goldfinches, who then failed to show up. I also potted up this curly grass that C. had given me the day before. It's intended for the pond but I haven't yet found a way to stop it disappearing below the surface.

The space intercom noises at the start of this Syd Barrett-composed track mark the opening moments of the album Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, which was released 50 years ago from this day. This was a regular on the art school record player when I was a teenager, an age when music makes an impression in a way that cannot be recreated, and that lasts until the present.
