Let sleeping wolves lie

A spur of the moment visit to the Wildpark at Poing in Bavaria this afternoon, which coincided nicely with a good long rain shower.
The rain had the effect of clearing the majority of humanity from the park a couple plus hours before closing. If the last sentence sounded like it came from a budding misanthropist, it was.
With my greed of a private audience with the animals somewhat satiated, it was nice to quietly sit under the trees in the rain next to the fence of the wolf enclosure. Initially not much activity therein, but just being in "their" presence was enough.
We sat for a while before retiring for a coffee and cake at the almost deserted cafe before visiting another enclosure.
Here we met Aaron an 11 month old wolf hybrid who was playing controlled truant from his "owner".
It was Aaron's owner who looks after the wolves at the park and after speaking to him I felt a bit more settled about the plight and future of the Poing wolf pack.
