To travel hopefully

We have had such disappointing weather recently – some sunny intervals, but then grey skies, drizzle, rain, cold winds. And it has been liable to change without warning. So, when a friend from Bradford came up for the day and he and Gordon decided to walk to High Cup Nick, they had no idea what to expect. The forecast seemed to suggest rain, but they set off anyway.

Here they are setting off hopefully; dressed for a fine day but, with a few dark clouds lurking, waterproofs stashed away.
 
And . . . 

. . . they had a lovely day - sunshine, blue skies, not a spot of rain, and hardly anyone else around.
