Flying things and a Castle

Another lovely day here in Lincolnshire. Mr T wanted yet more aviation so off we went to Coningsby, the home of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. We went on the tour and even I enjoyed all the history of these magnificent planes. At the moment there are only two Lancasters still flying in the world and the one in my blip is the one we saw flying last Saturday at East Kirkby. After coffee and cake in the cafe we had half an hour or so plane spotting round the airfield at RAF Coningsby!! OK now it's my turn and I chose to have a look round the magnificent Tattershall Castle, and yet another NT property to tick off the list. We really liked this Castle even though there were an awful lot of spiral stone steps to climb and the local church too where someone was playing the organ so we sat and listened for a while. He was having trouble with The Bridal March and asked us if we could walk up the aisle to give him a bit of timing practice - we were good models as we've both been up the aisle twice!!!!!

On the way back to 'Matilda' we enjoyed the company of a swan flying alongside us for a while.
