Hawker House

Another lazy Saturday. It started out sunny, but soon the rain descended to spoil the rest of the day.

I feel a bit out of sorts to be honest. I popped to my house and spent a little time there. Had another scour of Rightmove just in case there's something there. I'm back to the renting/selling/avoiding it all dilemma again! 

In the evening I met some friends at Hawker House at Canada Water. I went there twice last year, it's got a nice vibe. The weather was dry and sunny but cool and just so far from the summer we already had. I think it's been and gone! We had a nice time, I was talking to a guy who liked photography as much as I do. We kept trying to outdo each other sharing pics from instagram etc.

I left around 10pm. The Waterloo upgrade doesn't officially begin until Monday, but the trains were less frequent and took an hour and twenty minutes to do a 40 minute journey, so I made sure I was back there in good time. Too much time as it happened, but I had a drink and a people watch at Pret whilst I waited.

A super busy train home, standing in the aisles, although not me thankfully. It was full of lots of families who had gone to watch the athletics, and I heard a little boy being sick in the carriage. Under normal circumstance, I would run a mile being anywhere near barf central, but I was held hostage so thankfully it was only one more stop until I was home! 

Home just after midnight, and Little B was too tired to greet me, and he was in his bed waiting for me instead ;-)
