SHELLBEARING LIMESTONE WALK
A beautiful day, full of sunshine.
That is why we leftbefore lunch and drove to Lamerden. There goes a eco path along the river Diemel, but on a slope of a hill. A nice path, we were the only humans there. We saw a pair of roe deer running away from us.
At one point there was a beautiful view over the valley, and from there a steep path down.
We ate our sandwitches sitting on big stones on the shore of the river, in the shadow, too hot for sitting on the bench in the sun.
We crossed the river and reached the village Ostheim, where we could catch a bus, that would bring us back to Lamerden.
We had an hour before the bus came, and we walked to a little paradise above Ostheim. It is called Ostheimer Hute, Wacholder Heide, Juniper heath in english.
When we came there Piet Hein simply sat down and rested. I was thrilled by all the different flowers, and the many butterflies. So I walked around and tried to take pictures. Not an easy thing to do, higher up the hill the wind blows more.
The junipers full of berries. Not ripe I guess.
We descended the hill, catched the bus, found out hot car and drove to Trendelburg. On our way there I had seen the camels in the meadow and asked Piet Hein to find a place to park near them. But they all were gone now.
We went to the swimmingpool in Trendelburg and loved to swim for a while.
I have given more hearts for silly pictures to.PaulineP, Muguet, frani, Yana1 and the Broon.
My picture shows a close up of one of the butterflies I found.
