Sanderling Breakfast
I was up again for the sunrise which was quite nice, but not nearly as colorful as yesterday's. The temperature and humidity had dropped and it was so pleasant that I took a long walk along the shoreline and was fascinated watching the Sanderlings scampering near the water line, running away from the waves, all the while trying to capture a little morsel that might have been washed in by a wave.
Around noon, we left and drove directly from the beach to NYC at the request of number 4 son who informed us that he was going to propose this afternoon and wanted us to come to a celebratory dinner this evening with his fiancee and her parents (who we have met before). Both sets of parents are delighted and it was a wonderful evening. The gorgeous couple is over the moon.
