Hinton Ampner Blip Meet.

The main shot above is the main entrance to the house.

Hinton Ampner is the fulfillment of one mans dream. After a catastrophic fire in 1960 Ralph Dutton rebuilt his home in the light and airy Georgian style he loved.
He was a passionate collector and filled the sunny rooms with ceramics and art. He also designed series of tranquil garden rooms each with their own distinctive planting and still apparent today.
There are extensive manicured lawns, geometric topiary and a park with ancient oaks and beech woodland which provide space to stroll, relax and picnic.

The First extra shows from Left to right
Christine/13South,
Middle is Kate/Woofcity, in front of Kate is her friend Karen in the wheelchair and,
Jaki/Things Beautiful.
Thank you all very much indeed for a really enjoyable time and it was nice to meet you all again.....The weather DID NOT play ball as it rained most of the time, but we all had a good look around the house itself and briefly after another cup of coffee or two we ventured out into the garden and as soon as we did, guess what ..... the rain came again!!

There were lots of other shots to choose from, but I was spoilt for choice, so in the second extra is the back of the house which overlooks the South Downs, on a nice day the views are exquisite.
The third extra is the chandelier hanging in the drawing room. Just to give you a sample of what is inside.  I would not like to hang that by myself!!!
Well worth a visit, but do get there early and pick a nice sunny day.
It was busy there.

Thank you all again for such an enjoyable day.
Thanks to Woofcity for organising the meet.

Hope you all had a safe trip home.
