R.I.P. Glen Campbell (22 April 1936, Billstown AR - 8 August 2017, Nashville, TN)
Although Glen Campbell is now best known for his interpretations of Jimmy Webb songs such as Wichita Linesman, Galveston and By The Time I Get To Phoenix, he was previously a top-flight session musician in Los Angeles, a member of the legendary Wrecking Crew. He played on Phil Spector records such as You've Lost That Loving Feeling, records by Elvis Presley, Jan and Dean, Nancy Sinatra, Bobbie Gentry and the Beach Boys. In fact he was a touring member of the Beach Boys in place of Brian Wilson in 1964 and 1965, and played guitar on Pet Sounds.
