NZ Kea

This would have to be my favourite native bird. This is a young bird who has been eating too much lead. Our vet has had him at home for 3 weeks, he has just turned the corner and she thinks he will survive. She had been treating him every 2 hours right through day and night. He has now come into the hospital, and will continue to convalesce. Then we will release him back in Arthur's Pass where he came from.
