Artichoke Blossom

I had a plan to shoot the red sunset today as the smoke from several wildfires is back in our valley today.
My timing was a bit off and I arrived to the garden just as the Sun slipped below the tree line.
The warm red sunset caused my fellow gardener's artichoke plant colors to come alive.
I was not disappointed having missed the sunset as later in the evening the nearly full moonrise had the same otherworldly orange face shining through the smoke filled air.
