All of life is happening outside the French Halles this morning. 

Dramatically loud thunderclap at about 6.30 this morning which was pretty much overhead. I think it may have tripped the power to my washing machine because it also had no power somewhere around the time of the last bad thunderstorms but I don't know where the trip switch is and neither does the landlord. He's sending an electrician again.
