Beach weather

I think it was the French that started it. Parisians. One of them had a bright idea of chucking a few tons of sand on the banks of the Seine and calling it a beach. Of course, everyone loved it. And why not? Sunbathing on a nice sunny day with a view of Notre Dame and perhaps a nice glass of wine? What's not to like? But a wet Wednesday in Bedford? Not so much.

I think I'll stick to the real thing.
