The Centre...

...of Conistone - a Yorkshire Dales village with a population of c.120.
Its just across the river from Kilnsey and Kilnsey Crag (see Extra).
The crag is around 170 feet high, with an overhang of 40 feet and is one Wharfedale's most dramatic sights. It is a popular place for climbers to test their skills.
(If you look really closely there is a climber on the crag - just left of centre)
I love these old signposts, and note they include the OS Map reference - before the days of GPS :-)
