Back to Prague
A good train journey from Brnö to Prague, smooth and comfortable, the little station we left from was unique in that it was small - a diversion in place from the main station - played a fanfare before an announcement first for the locals and next in English both voices clear and slow. It all felt old fashioned and wonderful. I hope the extra shows a young man looking at his watch...
A cooler day and a return to the city across the river from our last visit into a lovely apartment - described as Art Noveau - it has that feel whatever that is. Later we needed food and wandered in a direction that ended up in a large square we have come across before. After a pasta and a chat with the Croatian waiter we looked for the sounds of chatter and music and just behind the cafe we came across a variety of street entertainment. A great buzz around the square, the temperture pleasant and all felt good.
The extras
A smal group of young people playing with the little lad singing, it was very good, magical and heart rending. Across from the group was an English guy who came over as half cut winding up a great crowd to watch him lie on broken glass. He pulled a couple of the audience in with the one girl standing there in disbelief mouthing to her family 'help'. She stayed the course of the plot and was remarkable. The guy was good twisting and turning in a very fetching black kilt.
And with the crowds comes their litter and this hero was keeping the place clean.
