Why are we waiting?
Well actually we are about an hour early, so not many people here yet. We're in Kelso Tait Hall to listen to Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham in concert.
I'm sure all Scots will know exactly who I'm talking about, but for anyone else: Aly plays the fiddle and Phil plays the accordion. They've been around a long time and have their own musical and other careers, but every Autumn they do a Scottish Tour.
We've caught up with this tour many, many times over the years, sometimes by accident, but recently we've tried to see them in a different place each year. So we've been to Ayr, Dumfries etc. and last year we were in Aberdeen. Today we're in Kelso in the Borders.
Why do we keep coming? After all they play more or less the same tunes and Phil tells more or less the same stories. But they're good tunes and good stories and so both bear repeating many, many times.
Now I know this isn't a very interesting blip - empty stage and all that, but I'm not that keen on taking pictures during concerts, so thought this would do for now. If I get a more interesting blip, I will replace this.
There are a few more people now - in fact the place is filling up nicely.
