Black Spot

autumn
tips the black spot
the long death
of summer
begins

It seems I was equally desperate for a blip, a year ago tomorrow, although the presence of more than one spot suggested a different image.

I know, it's not even in focus. It serves the poem though.

Rhytisma acerinum is the scientific term for these black spots.
