Stickle Tarn

Today we drove to Great Langdale in the Lakes and parked at Dungeon Gyll. All 9 of us, including our son's friends with their three year old climbed up to Stickle Tarn. We then split into two groups as my grandsons wanted to climb up Pavey Ark the difficult way with their Dad and friend whereas the rest of us went up the "easy way" which involved lots of scrambling and climbing up large rocks. We were shattered when we had finished the circular walk (6 1/2 hours ) and we are going to feel it tomorrow. The weather behaved and it was very warm on the way down,
