SUNFLOWERS.

I have never grown these majestic plants and decided this year to sow some Giant Sunflowers in pots.  Having given away a few to local friends, this was the first one to open by the front door.  The flower head isn't as big as I expected but at nearly 6ft. tall it certainly catches the eye near the front door.

Collecting Matthew today for his usual short break and at least the sun is shining.  The weather is certainly not being very kind to us all.
