Open Garden

Helped out at the "Sotts Hole" Open Garden today.

Jim and Margaret have opened their garden for the last 16 years raising money for charity and this was their last year.

Jim rides round on his tractor and Margaret spends an eternity baking the most wonderful cakes for afternoon tea after visitors have wandered around the acres of garden. There is a small army of volunteers making tea, clearing tables and washing up and plenty of cake!

When I was younger this was my second home (Marianne and I were best friends at school) and most of what is now the garden were strawberry fields.
