Keep Calm and Carry On

Today we have been to a 1940s weekend at Wimpole Hall, where I was completely in my element. We arrived in time to see the arrival of Winston Churchill and General Montgomery!

The weather wasn't brilliant but we managed to have a nice walk around and soak up the atmosphere. Including a look in the Red Cross tent, stay at home holidays, the Ministry of Food, Waterbeach Brass Band, hair and makeup and music in the barn by a wonderful 1940s vocal trio.

A fun day had by all! We are now snuggling down for a cosy evening.
