The Camera My Friend Gave Me!

Any tips guys on how to get the best from this camera?
Just cant seem to get a descent focus on it :(
I have been a busy busy bee today i now have a spotless house :))
Made soup for tommorrow too,where has the energy come from lol :P
Weather wise we have went from one extreme to another i think,its absolutley blowing a gale and p***ing it down too :((
Jake all tucked up in bed,and im chilling with a nice cold drink ahh!!
