Citroen est la
It has been a very wet summer and also a very dry and hot summer, all the opposing elements of global warming, I suppose. I worked in the cleanliness of my office this morning, whilst N laboured with cement grout in the grimy basement. After lunch we went to the garden centre and picked up some nice plants. Then we decided not to go home. I mean, we decided to detour for a while through Carennac. We got caught in a huge downpour and had to take refuge in a cafe where, thankfully, they served Leffe. Then thought we might as well eat dinner there, chez Fenelon. It was a bit Fawlty Towers to begin with. In an almost empty 60 seater restaurant we were led directly to a table adjoining another with a young family. We love children, but this one was already tired and grizzling. I approached the maitre D and asked to be moved to another table. He tutted, looked around at the 57 vacant seats, consulted the six entries in his booking diary and tutted again before offering us a nice table on the other side of the room. Food was good, though I think they forgot to brulee the brulee. The Citroen van is doing service in a garden as a wood shed. These are £15k in the UK fully restored.
