Five Still Camping

Another fabulous day today!!
It was a lazy morning - more glorious sunshine, a bit of a lie in, a shower in a shed, kids off playing while we packed away the tent and a lovely couple of hours at Grandad's - which included the highlight of getting a Disney mug each and £10! 
After saying goodbye we headed down the road to beautiful Torcross Beach. We've not been before and I've always dismissed it a bit because it's a shingle  beach rather than the wonderful sandy East Portlemouth beach we normally go to. But it was fabulous!! It was so beautiful in the sunshine with perfect fluffy clouds!
The Little Misses had a great time in the water on their body boards. It was particularly reassuring that there were two lifeguards sat there with nothing to do other than guard our children! 
Archie loves a beach too! He spent hours chasing pebbles which mean Mr K kept throwing for him.
Eventually Miss E turned blue and decided it was time to get out of the water. Her sensible sister had been out for a while and sprawling out on the pebbles to warm up!
Then it was to Dartmouth for fish and chips from Rockfish and ice cream on the quay before heading back onto the ferry and over the river for home.
The journey back was amazingly painless. Although Mr K was a bit pathetic and could only manage to drive to Sedgemoor Services before feeling too tired to carry on. At 8pm!! 
I quickly watered the garden before a quick cup of tea and then bed. What a fabulous time we've had!!
